Cool Kids Stuff

I’ve been saving this stuff up for awhile - actually, if you saw my bookmarks page, you’d wonder why I haven’t posted every day - I have SO MUCH STUFF TO SHARE.

So here’s a start…

Glubble.com is a FREE child-friendly and parent-controlled interface for the Firefox browser.  It sounds cool and I think it’s great for a lot of families.  Play around with it.  The reviews online are mixed and for now, so are mine (they’re just working on it as things come up, so some the issues (like having to OK each and every game on a Lego website) will be solved in the near future).  I think it works as well as it can, but I’m not leaving my kid alone with the internet just yet.  BTW, you can still access grown-up sites by entering a password.

If I had an extra $2,000 laying around, I’d have this Nume-designed bed1 for my son.  It’s an awesome clubhouse and coccoon all in one.  No doubt you’ve seen the Nume cardboard designable playhouse and washer/dryer set.  I happened by a photo of it the other day and got to wondering what else they make.  Quite a lot, it turns out. Check out the Nume website.  Checkout Generate - they have a great selection.  Get your kid(s) the washer/dryer so they can take in laundry and save up for the bed with their own earnings.
