Fun Stuff For Kids

Remember when I used to blog about one thing at a time?  I need to get back to that,  but for now, here’s another quick round up.  If you read me on a regular basis, drop a link or a comment to tell me what you like and what you don’t.  I realize I’ve been getting away from Des Moines-centric tips, lately.  I swear I have a whole host of Iowa goodies up my sleeve and will be sharing them this week.  Hang in there!

I love these books!  I had them as a kid and now they’re being re-released.  We got a trucks and trains one from the library and now my just-four son can draw trains that actually look like trains.  Now we have to buy them all! Ed Emberley’s website has great printables and activities, too.

For ten bucks, this is super cool.  The Pocket Paint Set unfolds/folds for take-along painting. Buy a bunch and give them to your nieces and nephews.  A great way to secure your place as smart one. From Modern Tots.

My son HATES having his hair washed. We’ve tried the hand-held sprayer, cups, washcloths over the eyes and finally swim goggles.  He still hates it.  Saw Flo by Boon in a coochicoos newsletter and I’m thinking Flo = Salvation. Also works as a bubble bath bubble maker.  No more wet cuffs from frothing the 99-cent strawberry scented Suave shampoo (yes, I’m too cheap to buy actual bubbles) into a massive foam.  Buy it here at Modern Tots
